The facebook group "Lighthouses of the World - The Intangible Library of Maritime Heritage" aims to build an archive of studies and research on the lighthouses of the world and their social and cultural constructions. All members are invited to open new discussions on a specific lighthouse (history, memories, oral tales) and to share studies, research, news, memories and / or narrations on lighthouses and maritime signaling, in order to stimulate a fruitful debate concerning the the need to safeguard and enhance these elements of the coastal landscape capable of manifesting themselves as places of identity for the communities living on the coast.
